5 Lit 2021 Festivals You Can Still Go To This SUMMER

This is the most freedom we’ve had in the last 18 months! In July, you went crazy purchasing event tickets, dinners, drinks, quick UK getaways, green list holidays and perhaps you ate into your August budget and are now relying on vibes.

Listen, you’re not alone but the fun can’t stop there! Below are 5 2021 festivals in the UK to end your summer 2021 with a bang.

1. Yam Carnival | 28th August 2021

If you love afrobeats, afrohouse, afroswing, this looks like the place for you! Afronation couldn’t take place this year but this seems like a fitting alternative with headliner Davido.

During lockdown, artists like Omah Lay, Odeal and Focalistic gave us really good music, this is a great opportunity to hear them live, as well as gems like Kehlani, Ari Lennox and Koffee who we don’t get to see often. 🥳 Link to buy tickets.

2. Reading Festival | 27th – 29th August 2021

When was the last time you partied with 40,000 people? I know! Don’t be alarmed, they’ve taken extra precautions to be Covid-19 safe. Reading festival is one of the biggest festivals around, it’s always had smashing reviews and enlists the best of the best! We love that there’s a BBC Introducing stage to put you on to new artists and a 1xtra stage for all your current faves.

This is a bit of a sticky one as Reading Festival sold out, but when has that stopped anyone?! You can buy tickets via trusted resellers like Ticketmaster and See Tickets.💃 Link to buy tickets.

3. ALT-LDN Festival | Monday 30th Aug 2021

ALT-LDN does what it says on the tin, giving you alternative music in London! This festival definitely has booked some world class artists like Playboy Carti Lil Yachty Ski Mask, MGK, Smokepurpp Princess Nokia. Last month we told you about 9 alternative artists you should be listening to and Sam Wise was one of them. If you like alt music or want to dip your toes in waters you don’t frequent and are guaranteed to enjoy it, don’t sleep on this! 🧚‍♀️ Link to buy tickets.

4. Wireless Festival | 10th-12th September 2021

If you were over 18 before the pandemic began, you must have been to a Wireless at some point in your life so you know the vibes! It’s a bit later this year but it looks just as good as it does every year. If there’s someone you’ve been dying to see for a while, Wireless has always booked them, plus they never fail to get hottest UK and US artists of that year. The lineup probably looks like a few of your playlists merged into a gigantic super one. 🤩 Link to buy tickets.

5. Strawberries & Creem Festival | 18th-19th September 2021

From the title alone, this festival looks yummy. What a headliner — PartyNextDoor?! 9bills has been to S&C quite a few times and we love it here! This ones a must go and there’s no excuses, there’s something for everyone, Strawberries and Creem, have all genres are covered. This is the UK’s 2021 festival closing party, it’s the last stop on the road, so we have plenty of time to prepare and give it our all. 🍓 Link to buy tickets.
