It’s not just on Valentines day and at funerals where people get flowers. You’re going to love the way the next three names on our Ones to Watch list killed it in 2023. Each artist brings a uniqueness to the scene, and leads us to believe they will have an even bigger year in 2024. This is part 2 of the series so if you haven’t checked out part 1, make sure to do so before we get started.
4. Proph – proph.17
Croydon’s very own Proph entered 2024 at full speed. If you’re reading this…it’s too late because off the back of his recent ‘Guilt Trip Freestyle’, and Octobers ‘Trust Fall’, Proph has already had a strong start to the year. Proph blessed festival stages at Reading & Leeds in the summer of 2023 as well as opening for Avelino, and JI Prince Of New York earlier in the year. He released his debut EP ‘Lost in Translation’ in April, completely self produced with a plethora of high quality music filled with hard hitting lyrics and melodies. His consistency and how he brings it to the stage is why Proph is one to watch for 2024.
PLANS FOR 2024? “Conquering the world”.
5. Zino Vinci – zinovinci
Stratford’s Zino Vinci had a huge 2023, he came hard the whole year! Before selling out his headline show towards the end of the year, Zino released a debut EP ‘Filthy & Disgusting’ which was received with a great reception, ultimately leading to a great show. His visuals have stood out amongst all of this though, with many well produced and intriguing music videos of which tell a story and bring his music to life. ‘Tamagotchi Crocs’ is the perfect example of blending film and music together to push boundaries further than they’ve been in the UK scene.
PLANS FOR 2024? “Making my mum and dad proud”.
6. Fimiguerrero – fimiguerrero
F!M! has been a figurehead in changing the scope for music in the UK. He delivers a unique sound that can’t be pinned down to location, and is on course to take the wave global following the likes of Lancey Foux. Fimiguerrero has already seen great international success in 2024 taking to the canals of Amsterdam on February 17. With 57k monthly listeners on Spotify alone, alongside two revolutionary albums that came just 5 months apart in 2023; ‘Black’ and ‘Immigrant’ , Fimiguerrero is undeniably one of the most consistent & creative artists in the country and we expect him to take UK hip hop to places we’ve not yet seen.
