With only a handful of singles released before his debut EP by the name ‘Bluquet’ , Ceebo definitely shows his influences. Notably on Outro 2 da Intro where he does justice to the infamous ‘Pain Is The Essence’ instrumental,  a refreshing reminder of the impact South London artists have had on the scene, and where they can take it in the future.

The introduction to the EP, Before I was Ceebo, works not just as an opener to the project, but introduces him as an artist, and lets you know about life before the music. This was later featured on the GRM Daily ‘Under The Radar’ playlist. Over the year, he has had a handful of live performances and freestyles, most notably opening up a freestyle series for EMPIR3 in his hometown Stockwell, with a standout performance of which he was later able to reflect on Balamii; showing his versatility on a range of beats, and proved his potential in abundance, giving him a well deserved spot on this list.

“Hopefully I’m taking money from the industry bro. I deserve it.”

AE, the South – East London pairing of Els and Adz have been rapping together from the time G, delivering high quality feel-good music since canteen days. After being featured on the MOBO unsung playlist in 2022, and receiving co-signs from the likes of Rapsody and Shaybo, they’ve had another successful year with the release of their single Capri-Sun, reaching over 200,000 streams on Spotify, as well as the most viewed Monochrome Sessions performance of the year with 36,000 views.

The way this song skyrocketed was well deserved, with them going back to back to deliver 2 and a half minutes of music that I can’t really describe other than fun. They put on a show at the Mixtape Madness live music showcase in September at Selfridges, London, alongside taking part in the live cypher for The Block Report hosted by Flashy Sillah. It’s safe to say the amount of work they have put in, and ability to bring the same energy from the studio to the stage is why they are definitely are a duo who will be making lots of noise in 2024.

A well-poised performer, Wax’s single ‘WDYM’ has over 300,000 streams. He has already done incredible numbers in a 365 day span, and 2024 is looking to be another one. Wax Bentayga had one of the most dominant performances in the Red Bull Raise The Bar cypher in October hosted by Unknown T. His visual and laid back style stand out amongst everything. Especially the cinematic ‘Jenny’ released on the GRM Daily channel. Wax’s ability to come up with video concepts perfectly reflective of the energy he brings to his performance is credit to his artistry, giving us a lot to look out for next year.
