MIST & LADY LESHURR DELIVER KNOCKOUT PERFORMANCES DURING BOXXER’S FIGHT NIGHT IN BIRMINGHAM | @imladyleshurr @mist_rs @boxxer

On May 6, 2023 – Birmingham’s Own Grime Artists MIST and Lady Leshurr delivered electrifying performances during BOXXER’s fight night in Birmingham. The city was buzzing with excitement as they took to the stage to perform during the ring walks of two professional boxers at a BOXXER and Sky Sports Boxing event on Saturday night. The event took place at the Birmingham Resorts World Arena and was broadcasted live on Sky Sports to millions worldwide.

Lady Leshurr took to the stage to perform her hit single ‘Black Panther’ as she walked out local hero and European Champion Kirstie ‘Bavvo’ Bavington for the historic, first-ever female British Title Fight. In its 114-year history, this was the first time women have been able to fight for the esteemed British Title – and the contest did not disappoint. Bavington faced Lauren Price MBE, Olympic Gold Medallist and one of the most decorated amateur fighters this country has ever seen.

Dressed in a stunning purple tracksuit Lady Leshurr delivered a knockout performance that had the crowd on the edge of their seats heading into the bout where Lauren Price MBE and Kirstie Bavington went to war over 10-rounds in a thrilling contest as both battled to be crowned British Champion, fittingly on the same day as the King’s Coronation.

MIST, known for his energetic and hard-hitting grime tracks, performed the walk out for Olympic Bronze Medalist, and undefeated Light-Heavyweight Contender Joshua Buatsi for the main event contest. The crowd erupted as MIST took to the stage, delivering a powerful performance of his hit song Karla’s Back which set the tone for the fight that followed. His intense energy and undeniable stage presence was emulated in the main event as Buatsi thrilled fans with an emphatic victory.

The night was truly one to remember and showcased the amazing talent of the Midland’s across music and sport – from MIST to Olympic Silver Medallist – Ben Whittaker.

BOXXER CEO, Ben Shalom, said: “Before getting into boxing, I was a music promoter. When we started BOXXER, we had a vision to modernise the sport of boxing, attract new audiences, and deliver world class nights of entertainment. Tonight was a spectacular celebration of the Midlands and an example of what boxing can be in this new era.” BOXXER represents the new era of entertainment, with their events merging music and sport to create unforgettable moments.
