Rapper, spoken-word poet, fashion voice, actor and visual artist Kojey Radical embodies the multidimensional creative who refuses to be boxed in. With his new album Don’t Look Down, Kojey turns that mindset into both a mantra and a metaphor. In an industry full of highs and lows, his resilience lies in refusing to be paralysed by fear.
Fear of Falling vs Drive to Rise
In conversation with Zeze Mills, Kojey admitted that fear is a constant shadow. The fear of falling from success, the fear of impostor syndrome, the fear of not living up to expectation. But Don’t Look Down reframes that fear. Instead of letting it cripple him, he treats it as a reminder to keep moving:
“Fear is what has kept you from sometimes doing it because you’re scared of the fall.”
