Trip Advisor Launches New Show: Common Ground Redefines What It Means to Travel Local

Tripadvisor is switching up the travel game. Forget bucket lists and far-flung getaways, the brand’s bold new YouTube series, Common Ground, is about what really connects us: people, stories, and shared experiences.

Produced by Tripadvisor’s in-house creative studio Wanderlab, Common Ground blends travel, food, music, and conversation in a cinematic, unscripted format. Filmed in London’s iconic Shoreditch, the three-episode pilot brings together some of Britain’s most recognisable faces — from rappers to chefs, comedians, and activists — to explore culture through the lens of empathy, curiosity, and creativity.

“We’re reimagining the way stories about travel are told. It’s less about distance, more about discovery. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to go far to find beauty, kindness, and common ground,”
Adam Ochman, Global Head of Tripadvisor’s Wanderlab.

🍽️ Monica Galetti & Daisy May Cooper

A Michelin-starred chef meets a BAFTA-winning comedian. Monica and Daisy’s day in Shoreditch is packed with laughter, a pottery class that goes hilariously off the rails, and moments of real vulnerability. Over dinner at Legado, they swap stories about humble beginnings and resilience.

Common Ground isn’t about ticking destinations off a map. It’s about finding connection where we are — through conversation, creativity, and community.

Raw. Funny. Thought-provoking. Tripadvisor’s Common Ground might just be the most human travel series you’ll watch this year. All episodes are out now on TripAdvisor’s YouTube channel.
