Snapshot Stars part 3: 9 artists to watch in 2024

In our final instalment of our list, these final 3 trailblazing artists will undoubtedly make their mark on the scene, and have all had a great 2023. From hyperpop to afrobeats, the vast array of genres and influences impacting this final three is huge, and that is why they’ve been selected and are on track to break barriers this year.

FromJerome burst onto the scene with Next Day Delivery. His R&B sound infused with afrobeats lead his snippets to go viral on TikTok, with 158k views, and reaching 49k streams on Spotify just a month after its January release. He played some music coming in the near future for us when we met him at a North London studio and from what we heard, he is definitely the next artist to keep East London on the map.

Mellissa – @mellissadarlin

Mellissa creates the epitome of feel good music. With collaborations with Boj and Ajebutter22, she is already skyrocketing to great success. The smooth melodies have a particular relaxing feel to them which is sort of reminiscent of warm weather and a sound that can really be pinned to summertime. Her streams are currently sat in the millions, and will only be going up, especially since summer is yet to come and we believe she will be running it.

Jordan Adetunji – @jordanadetunji

The Irish hyperpop phenom Jordan Adetunji frequently comes with an unmatched energy on his songs. He describes his style as ‘Rock’n’rave’, which makes sense seeing as his influences spread wide from rock to rap and beyond. His live shows are a spectacle; heavy on crowd involvement whilst also carrying himself with the stage presence of a veteran in the scene. Doing this so young will certainly make him a heavy hitter when it’s all said and done and his career is far from over.
