Hi, what are you looking for?

There’s so much music out there nowadays, it’s so hard to decide what new releases you want to listen to. We know for a fact that you’re missing out on some gems so don’t worry, we’ve created a shortlist for you below.

Skiibii ft. Davido – Baddest Boy (Remix)

The original, is one of the baddest Afrobeats songs in the world right now and Skiibii just had to push us over the edge by adding the goated Davido, we really hope Skiibii performs this at the O2 next month!

Emerging from the very streets of Lagos, Skiibii has released a multitude of singles with the likes of Reekado Banks, Olamide, Zlatan. ‘Baddest Boy’ is an Afro-Pop track with a slow, heavy beat and a melo-climatic sound which embodies the title of the song. Accompanied with a visual interpretation, it
creates an unforgettable vibe which leaves the audience on a clear high.

Webbo – Gelato

We have quite a few modern day rockstars in the UK and Webbo is definitely one of them. This addictive track is packed with a whirlwind of melodic raps, tasteful pitches and it’s been mixed down to the gods.

Shows like Drake’s Euphoria have caught everyone’s attention due to substance abuse, it’s also very common when listening to this type of music. Webbo took ‘Gelato’ as an opportunity to tell us about the highs, whilst he covered the lows in his GRM debut ‘My Mistake‘.

Lowna feat. AQUA! – Sweet Candy

Valentines is coming and ‘Sweet Candy’ is one to add to your R&B playlist. If you’re struggling to come up with one, don’t worry, we’ve got you next week. Co-Produced by Israel Shabani and Lowna himself, both Lowna and AQUA! ‘s melodies, lyrics and delivery mimic getting lost in an extremely intimate slow whine that stops time.

“I was inspired by ladies who have allowed me get closer to them mentally and physically, I believe while short love stories are alright and socially seen as cool, if I can’t get to understand the lady im speaking too on a deeper level, all the fun and naughty things we do wouldn’t be as great as it should be.” – Lowna

Mowgs – Big Move

Real rap is slowly becoming the default rap genre again and Mowgs has definitely moved us with this one, there’s something about tight, confident verses and punchy flows with a Birmingham accent.

‘Big Move’ is an initial taste of Mowgs’ long-awaited new project, ‘The Bare Necessities’ featuring some of the brightest and celebrated stars in UK rap spanning the likes of MIST, SK, and Rimzee. Bring on ‘Mowgs March’, yeah you heard it here first.

WDZ – Bangers & Mash

“It’s true what they say, you get all the birds if you’re grinding from early”, we’d love to see how big WDZ’s nest is because the way he spits sounds like he can back his talk.

The 19 year old North Londoner uses ‘Bangers & Mash’ to tell his story in first person, giving a realistic perspective of the streets without glorifying or vilifying it. It describes the hustles that many go though on the come up, with WDZ letting us know that he is finally making through the hard stages.
