Outgrowing the Mask
When drill first came up, masks were more than just branding — they were survival. But Kwengface has reached a point where that identity no longer fits. “It wasn’t for me no more,” he explains, revealing that stepping away from the mask was part of stepping into something more real. The change wasn’t overnight — it was something he had to grow into.

Making Music with Purpose
Kwengface is open about how his relationship with music has changed. He used to record just because it was “lit.” Now, there’s more intention behind everything he releases. He’s taking time to study sounds, plan projects, and think bigger.
He also acknowledges how the pressure to stay active in the scene can dilute creativity. “Man are dropping a project every year, and it’s not even developing,” he says. For Kweng, slowing down was necessary — not because of laziness, but because of growth.
Learning to Move Differently
Throughout the conversation, it becomes clear that Kwengface has done a lot of internal work. He reflects on grief and trauma. “Certain things I don’t like talking about too tough,” he shares, suggesting that not everything has to be said for it to be felt.
This new calm is a result of experience. He describes himself as more grounded and level-headed. “I think before I act now.” It’s not about softening — it’s about strategy, focus, and choosing peace where chaos once lived.
