JD Opens Their Biggest Flagship Store Ever

JD has officially opened their largest ever flagship store, and it’s right in the heart of Manchester’s Trafford Centre. At 41,000 square feet, the new space is more than just a store, it’s a statement. Think fashion, sport, music, and community all colliding under one roof.

JD Trafford Centre sets a new benchmark for shopping experiences, powered by youth culture and the brand’s Forever Forward mission.

The Launch Was a Movie

Before doors even opened, JD and Nike handed over the keys to none other than Central Cee for a lock-in event at the flagship store. Joined by hometown hero Nemzzz, the pair lit up the night with a joint performance of “DILEMMA”, blending fashion and sound in true JD style.

On opening day (June 7), things hit full throttle. Sprint king Usain Bolt joined YouTube icons Beta Squad for a 100-metre challenge where fans raced for prizes and bragging rights. JD really said, “Let’s make memories.”

Sneaker Heat + Culture Drops

JD came correct with the return of Nike’s Air Max 95 OG ‘Mandarin’ – aka the legendary “110s” – in a super-limited drop at 1:10 PM (we see what they did there). The Pink Foam OG edition also dropped, alongside brand demos, giveaways from Crep Protect, and mochi ice cream from Unlike Humans’ custom truck.

As if that wasn’t enough, shoppers who copped Unlike Humans gear could get their items customised live by Matt B Customs – free of charge.

JD Trafford Centre = Culture Hub

With exclusives from Nike, adidas, PUMA, On Running, and JD’s own labels like Unlike Humans, JD is redefining what it means to hit the high street, and Manchester just became the epicentre of the movement, bringing together music, sport and entertainment under one roof for one night only.

James Air, JD’s Director of Group Acquisitions, summed it up: “This is JD at its very best – fashion-forward, community-focused, and pushing the boundaries of retail.”

JD just levelled up.
