The middle and only daughter of five, Godsfavour grew up in Eastern and South-Western Nigeria in the Chidozie family, with her musical inspiration coming from Church at a young age. During the time before her 2020 breakout single, Fave was pursuing a Law degree with only one single released at the time which was “M.O.M.M.S”
Bouncing between many different genres, Fave still sees herself as a pop artist. Her music is incredibly emotive working perfectly on up-tempo production.
In 2022, ‘Baby Riddim 5’ became the first number 1 album on the Apple Music charts in Nigeria, becoming the 14th most streamed Nigerian project on Spotify, landing her as an Apple Music One to Watch. She also won Rookie of the year at the 2022 Headies, and received 2 nominations at the Afrima awards.
Her collaboration with Davido on ‘Kante’ skyrocketed her, earning her her first Grammy nomination.
“If you listen to FAVE talk long enough, it’s easy to believe that the 21-year-old Nigerian singer was somehow destined to be a musician”

Only a few days after the release of her recent ‘Dutty Love’ EP this week, it has been very well received. The lead track ‘No Games’ has been a huge hit, amassing 411k views on Youtube.
Fave has had an incredible journey and this EP embodies every part of that. Make sure to give it a listen and remember to appreciate all the great work leading up to this point.
I actually don’t think Fave is an underrated artist, she’s good and knows her stuff.
