Tickets are available to purchase through Benny Boy Events website here.

Benny Boy Events is proud to announce their partnership with Aures London and, together, will be hosting Notting Hill Carnival: A Multi-Sensory Digital Art Experience.

Community & Culture

The cultural significance of Notting Hill Carnival is hugely appreciated across London, renowned for its vibrancy, unifying capabilities and representation of the resilience and cultural diversity of the city’s communities. Notting Hill Carnival: A Multi-Sensory Digital Art Experience will honour Notting Hill Carnival and the sense of community that it creates.

Notting Hill Carnival is recognised as the street party that revolutionised Britain, founded by human rights activists Claudia Jones and Rhaune Laslett to unify the community after a series of racially motivated attacks on the West Indian residents of Notting Hill in August 1958.  The devastating impact of the Grenfell Tower disaster still shadows the community of West London. It is one example of the adversity and affliction that residents of the Borough have encountered. We will also be donating 5% of the proceeds of Notting Hill Carnival: A Multi-Sensory Digital Art Experience to Grenfell United, a pressure group, made up of the families of victims and survivors of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire.

In the spirit of Notting Hill Carnival, Notting Hill Carnival: A Multi-Sensory Digital Art Experience hopes to mirror the aspiration that brought about Notting Hill Carnival by bringing the community together. We have invited under 16s from the Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre (near Aures London) and other youth group organisations from various London boroughs to attend a free digital workshop at 12pm.

The multi-sensory event space comprises various compelling elements: 54 speakers for surround sound, Subpac Haptic Vibration Technology, 270 Degree Projection Screens, Mystic Moments Scents, and Insane Flavour Experience intended to engage all the senses.

The Event & Venue

Guests will enjoy the projections of artwork from the contributing artists such as Kirsty Latoya (Kirz Art) Josh Prince and Solomon Gamra. Each theme will be accompanied by either a reggae, dancehall or carnival mix specifically curated by Jet Star Music – the home of reggae and dancehall – for this event. Insane flavour experiences will come from the bespoke rum-based cocktails to be made by the Aures London in-house mixologist and delicious Jamaican patties from Flakey Bakes, a community-based family-run bakery. In addition, the use of Mystic Moments Jamaican Spice, Sweet Rum and Caribbean Berry & Mango fragrance oils will immerse guests in the ambience of Notting Hill Carnival.

“West London raised me so it’s only right that I start this new and exciting multi-sensory immersive event curation project at Aures London with a Notting Hill Carnival multi-sensory digital art experience. Despite Carnival being cancelled this year, with our multi-sensory digital art experiences people will still be able to see, hear, taste, smell and feel what the streets of Notting Hill have been like every August bank holiday for the past 50 plus years.”

– Gaëtan Shamashang, co-founder of Benny Boy Events
