About Bailey Zimmerman

Bailey Zimmerman’s journey to country music stardom didn’t start in a Nashville recording studio—it began in a welding shop and on TikTok. The 24-year-old from Louisville, Illinois, picked up a guitar at just nine years old, but like many of today’s rising artists, it was social media that gave him his big break.

Zimmerman wasn’t always set on a music career. Growing up, he was all about baseball and dirt bikes. His mom, a rock fan, introduced him to hair metal bands and even took him to his first-ever concert in 2012—Tesla. Funny enough, that was the only concert he attended before stepping onto the stage himself. Life wasn’t always smooth sailing; at 10 years old, his parents divorced, a moment that would shape his music in ways he wouldn’t realize until years later.

After graduating from North Clay High School, Zimmerman took a job in the meat-packing industry before heading to West Virginia to work on a union gas pipeline. But family came first, and he left that gig to work at his stepbrother’s welding business, Top Notch Metal Worx. It was here that he unknowingly set himself on a new path—using TikTok to promote the business.

What started as casual social media posts soon turned into something bigger. Zimmerman began writing songs, and in December 2020, he uploaded his first original track, “Never Comin’ Home”, to TikTok. Fans loved it. Encouraged by the response, he kept going.

Then came 2022, the year everything changed. His breakout single, “Fall in Love”, skyrocketed to No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, and suddenly, he wasn’t just a TikTok musician—he was a country artist to watch. The hits kept coming with “Rock and a Hard Place” and “Where It Ends,” proving that Zimmerman wasn’t just a one-hit wonder—he was the real deal.

By October 2022, he dropped his major-label debut, Leave The Light On, which landed in the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Fans couldn’t get enough, and before he knew it, his U.S. tour had to be extended to keep up with demand.

Then, in March 2023, Zimmerman took a personal turn with his first full-length album, Religiously. The Album. A proud Christian, he poured his heart into the project and took it on the road with the “Religiously: The Tour,” which had fans singing along from the U.S. to Great Britain and Ireland. The album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and climbed to No. 3 on the Top Country Albums chart. Meanwhile, his first-ever international tour in 2024 sold out, and he even snagged a CMA nomination for New Artist of the Year.

With hits like “Where It Ends,” “Hell or High Water,” and “Holy Smokes”, Zimmerman’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. His track “Rock and a Hard Place” even broke a Billboard record for the longest climb to reach the top 10 on the Hot 100.

So, what’s next? A second album is on the way, and if his track record is anything to go by, it’s bound to be another smash. One thing’s for sure—Bailey Zimmerman has gone from welding sparks to country music fireworks, and he’s just getting started.
