Akinyemi Ayinoluwa is a Partner and Co-founder at HighTower Solicitors and Advocates, where his music law practice is dedicated to serving recording artists, songwriters, producers, labels, investors, and talent managers. He’s widely regarded as a lawyer whose passion for music goes beyond the courtroom—living and breathing the industry he represents.
Before stepping into law, Akinyemi made music himself as a songwriter, recording artist, composer, and performer, being the lead singer of the now-defunct 100 Degrees boy band.
For a select group of clients, Akinyemi doesn’t just provide legal counsel; he also takes on the role of business manager, offering a unique blend of expertise.
He’s also the driving force behind the biggest songwriters’ competition in Nigeria and Ghana, which he has successfully organized for the past four years running.

Judges this year include renowned producer Magicsticks, the man behind some of Asake’s greatest hits and the 2x Grammy nominee Mbyro who has worked with Davido and Ayra Starr.
The competition is a great opportunity for up and comiing writers, with a $4000 prize for first place, $750 for second and $250 for third.
